Faultless Healthcare Linen Practices Assure That Its Medical Linens Are Clean and Safe
Faultless Healthcare Linen is monitoring the Covid-19 situation closely. We are and will continue to do what is in the best interests of our associates, customers and their patient communities, operating at our usual high standards for safety as we launder and deliver safe and clean healthcare linens.
Both the Healthcare Laundry Accreditation Council (HLAC) and Textile Rental Service Association (TRSA) report that their standards align with the cleaning and disinfection practices recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
According to HLAC, laundries that adhere to its protocols already are engaged in the best practices to address this virus and need not deviate from their current processes. Faultless Healthcare Linen, a healthcare-linen only service provider, has all the critical certifications assuring that our customers’ medical linens are safe and clean.
These certifications focus on process, training and one, Hygienically Clean, takes medical laundry samples to an outside lab for a series of biological testing to assure that Faultless Healthcare Linen maintains “an established threshold that guides the reduction of pathogens on textile products to levels that pose no threat of human illness.”
Faultless processes more than 1.5 million pieces of medical laundry at this standard every week. We know healthcare linens are the most touched hospital supply item before it gets into the patient room, while it is in the patient room and after it leaves the patient room. To reduce the risk to patients, it is essential to launder medical linens, including scrubs, to these standards – in a manner that reduces pathogens to an acceptable level that does not pose a threat to patient health.
Our attention to these high standards goes beyond our day-to-day healthcare linen-only facilities processes. We regularly host Faultless plant tours for our customers following a detailed checklist so they can see for themselves the plant site, our quality control and reject procedures, our blood-borne pathogens and exposure control plan that adheres to OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.1030 and our wash formula.
We go one step further in that we offer custom Compliance Books for each of our customers. The Compliance Book puts at our customers’ finger tips the information they need to know and, must have, regarding how Faultless Healthcare Linen’s operational and performance protocols meet or exceed compliance standards, so they may be audit-ready at any time.
